Hello, my name is Matthew Johnston and I am the leader of this little thing called Goo. Actually I'm the only person involved at the minute and I do everything myself - make websites, visuals, identities and my own cups of tea.
I love all those things and I like to built that love into my websites, except not in a creepy way.
I'm a big fan of the web design revolution, and all the beautiful websites that have been made thanks to it. I try, in my own way, to take inspiration from them all, then to make the designs my own.
I got into design way back in 1998, during a very short school placement with a now defunct graphic design company in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Since then, I've geeked out constantly on great software like Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
Aside from trusty old Notepad++ and a piece of uploading software called SmartFTP, thats all I use to build my websites and designs, and I like it that way.
This site, and many of my sites for others, use a fantastic little content management system called Symphony and I use Media Temple to host everything. Oh and there are a few of the great Silk Icons around the place too.
You can find me in a couple of places on the interweb, the excellent Virb.com and the even better Flickr. Some of my better photos can be seen hanging around in the background of this very site!
I love music as much as I love design, so I tend to talk about it a lot over on my blog.
