TPS Heat Exchangers and TPS Thermal Controls Redesign

Thermpak Systems approached me with the aim of redesigning both their online presences for two divisions of their company, TPS Thermal Controls and TPS Heat Exchangers. Minor rebranding for TPS Heat Exchangers was also involved.

The Thermal Controls website was redesigned by Goo in early 2007, however to bring the two brands into line and perform necessary changes to the product lineup, it was necessary to do a complete relaunch. This allowed for the integration of Symphony CMS to control product listings and allow the customer full control over future alterations to the site.

TPS Heat Exchangers had not been redesigned for many years, and the previous site was clunky and out of date. The twin branding of the two TPS divisions meant that a rebranding was in order too. Developing on the Thermal Controls logo theme, a slight variation was produced for the Heat Exchangers brand, again with a pipe motif, this time forming an 'X'.

The websites were then designed to match each other, with slight variations on colour schemes and layout to distinguish them.

TPS Thermal Controls

A web presence and full company identity for an engineering company. The logo was inspired by the construction of pipework involved with heating equipment, so the T from Thermal and the C from Controls are intended to merge to form a subtle pipework. The website was constructed to put across the idea of 'warmth' and heat, so a lot of nice thick reds and very simple sections to present the products as simply as possible.

One of the smaller websites I've done, this is version 2, version 1 was a bit more complicated, but it ended up getting too much so and swallowing itself. This newer version keeps most of my design choices intact in terms of colour and layout, and just sticks a little Wordpress blog on the bottom. I did this before I saw the light and discovered Symphony, but Wordpress is just as good a choice for it. Its a great read too!

Bodytonic Music

Large scale web presence, various identities for 'album art', work with Django CMS, created lots of randomly loaded 'easter eggs' for the site.

This was a major project, involving many, many long hours of work. Every template needed to be finely tuned to not only work for static content, but then the demands of daily dynamic content. The front page was a big concern, with many different forms of information vying for attention at once, and trying to tie it all together into a cohesive and readable experience.

Several custom elements were created for the site, based off of existing company logos, including artwork for each of the audio podcasts and little 'easter eggs' which would appear in the header of the page differently every time the site was refreshed.
